Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, met with Adnan Ahmed Yousif, Chairman of the Bahrain Association of Banks (BAB), and members of the association.
The meeting highlighted the role of the banking and finance sector in supporting national efforts in reaching carbon neutrality, as well as the implementation of programmes, initiatives, and projects to raise environmental awareness and achieve sustainable development goals (SDGs).
The minister commended the role of BAB in launching initiatives and strategies that seek to consolidate the status of Bahrain in the banking and finance sector regionally and internationally.
The BAB Chairman commended the kingdom's efforts to protect the environment and mitigate the impact of climate change.
